Innovation Park is rolling out in 2 non-sequential phases
Phase 1
This 85,000 square foot multi-tenant facility provides leasing space for the research and development divisions of academic, industrial and government sectors, facilitating the process of bringing innovations into the market.
- Facilities are secure
- Tenants have access to intellectual resources, quality R&D facilities (wet and dry labs, pilot scale facilities), highly specialized equipment, shared resources, business incubation suites, and a variety of technical, entrepreneurial and commercialization services
- Long-term or short-term leasing is available
Phase 1 also encompasses 6,000+ square feet of fully equipped wet lab and office incubation facilities in the Kingston Technology Exchange Centre (KTEC). This technology and business incubation centre, representing a partnership between the Kingston Economic Development Corporation and Queen’s University, is co-located with PARTEQ Innovations Inc., the local centre of excellence for commercialization strategies. A variety of wet lab incubation suites are available for leasing.
Phase 2
Our second development phase will transform Innovation Park into a Canadian landmark.
Queen’s has purchased 50 acres of land specifically zoned for industrial use, including research and experimental activities. The development of these green field lands – adjacent to the Phase 1 multi-tenant facility – will be guided by LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards and will incorporate a work-live-play concept.
Master plans will be unveiled in the coming months!
