Canadian Shield Energy Systems (CanSES) is a Queen’s spin-off company specializing in alternative energy and alternative fuels, as well as the development and application of advanced energy conversion technologies including gas turbine recuperators, fuel reformers, fuel cells, solar photovoltaics, and small scale wind turbines. CanSES, in collaboration with FCRC, is currently developing a modular Solid Oxide Fuel Cell system that will operate on anaerobic digester gas produced during waste water treatment.
