Axio Power Canada, Inc.

Axio Power was founded in 2007 to accelerate the adoption of utility scale solar in North America and will develop, build, own, and operate a fleet of solar assets in both Canada and the U.S.  In Canada, Axio Power is currently focused on Ontario and developing 10 MW projects under the Ontario Power Authority’s (OPA) Feed in Tariff (FiT) program.  Axio Power has a strong track record in both solar and wind development, dating back to 2001.  The company has developed over 7 MW of solar PV for onsite customers in the US, including federal, state, and corporate organizations.

Burt’s Greenhouses

Burt’s Greenhouses (Alex English) converted from an oil-fired to a wood biomass boiler system to heat their greenhouses. A special augur was designed to feed wood into the boiler. Innovative boiler modifications were made by the company to improve combustion and decrease pollution. The boiler also produces bio-char which is used by the business. Alex English is very familiar with the technical and practical challenges in the small-scale commercial use of bio-mass energy.
